The Alvarez Yairi GYM60HD Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric guitar is a high-quality instrument handcrafted by master luthiers in Japan using premium tonewoods and meticulous attention to detail. Designed for serious musicians seeking an inspiring guitar with a robust, balanced tone, the GYM60HD features a solid AAAA Adirondack spruce top and solid Honduran mahogany back and sides. Its innovative FST6 bracing system produces an open, resonant sound with clear, ringing highs and a warm low end.

Premium Tonewoods Produce Rich, Nuanced Tone

The GYM60HD's solid AAAA Adirondack spruce top is renowned for its musicality, dynamism and complexity. When paired with solid Honduran mahogany back and sides, it generates a tone with shimmering highs, a focused midrange and tight, articulated bass. This all-solid wood construction also provides greater resonance and projection, allowing your musical expression to shine through. The lightweight FST6 bracing enhances the responsiveness of these premium tonewoods for an acoustic sound with depth, warmth and clarity.

Traditional Build Techniques Meet Modern Playability

While the GYM60HD is crafted using time-honored techniques passed down through generations of luthiers, its design also incorporates contemporary features for comfort and playability. It has a 1.75" nut width and low-profile ebony bridge for fingerstyle versatility. The mahogany neck has an easy-playing satin finish and slim, oval C-shaped profile. Its ebony fingerboard has a 9.5" radius and smooth, polished frets. These attributes make the GYM60HD ideal for today's acoustic guitarist.

Stage-Ready Electronics Provide Plugged-In Performance

The GYM60HD comes equipped with L.R. Baggs Stage Pro EQ and pickup for amplified use. The Stage Pro system features volume and tone controls to shape your plugged-in tone with the turn of a knob. Its small-footprint preamp has a built-in chromatic tuner and XLR balanced output for direct connection to PA systems. The undersaddle Element pickup accurately captures the nuances of your acoustic sound for natural-sounding reproduction through an amplifier or PA. Take your inspiring tone from studio to stage with the electronics onboard the GYM60HD.

Premium Appointments Complete the Package

High-quality hardware and appointments reinforce the GYM60HD's stature as a professional-grade instrument. It has open-gear Gotoh tuners for tuning stability, a bone nut and saddle for optimal tone transfer and an ebony bridge for durability. The gloss finish is buffed to a luxurious sheen, highlighting the beauty of the tonewoods. A deluxe hardshell case is included to properly protect your investment.
